There She Is -- Miss Tibet

Yes, there is a Miss Tibet pageant, held recently in Dharmsala. The winner this year is Sonam Choedon, 18. The Washington Post has a photo of her. Washington Post reporter Emily Wax writes,

The heavily made-up contestants wear elaborate gold jewelry and floor-length chubas, traditional Tibetan robes. The pageants include yoga competitions and questions about Buddhist philosophy and Tibetan history.

The hardest part is the swimsuit competition, because it's cold.
