I very much enjoyed this video, which takes us inside the Wat Thai temple of North Hollywood. We meet Michael Mannil, a 25-year old construction manager from Denver, Colorado, who is honoring his Thai heritage by spending a week at Wat Thai as a monk. He called it a "life-changing experience."
Toward the end we see Mannil and his mentor, the monk Phra Maha Dusit Sawaengwong, chanting in Pali (or Thai?) and English. Is that becoming a common practice in North American Thai temples?
The accompanying article says that Wat Thai, built in 1972, is the oldest Thai Buddhist temple in North America.

Nice video. I would have likd to see more of the temple, it looked very beautiful. We chant some chants in Pali, some in English, but the English translation is below it.
