Todaiji is very impressive. It is definitely worth the effort to make arrangements to see it, if you ever come here to Japan.

I second that. I have never seen such a massive structure, and the building around it is even better. I love Nara in general, including the deer park and other attractions.

At Todaiji, there is also a famous hall apart from the Great Buddha called the Nigatsudo or “February Hall”. The views there are amazing, but also the hall is enriched with early Japanese Buddhist tradition.
