in a world of one color

After the snowstorm --
in a world of one color,

When there’s snow on the ground, I like to pretend I’m walking on clouds. – Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World, 2005
all around there is snow
and it is cold very cold
but the sun is out
(living in South Africa and has experienced snow only twice)
blue sky with no cloud
breeze blows into my office
grasping the paper – futile
down south in Africa it is high summer this time of the year
